Elements of the traditional culture of Czech immigrants’s descendants in the North Caucasus

The subject of the article is North Caucasian Czechs’ traditional culture, the cause and manner of its certain elements’evolution. The author presents some data about the language situation among the descendants of the 19th century’s Czech immigrants in the North Caucasus, their folklore and rites, collective legends. Special attention is paid to the activities of a local cultural club and its role in maintaining ethno-linguistic identity of the Czech diaspora.
