Body

One of the notable trends of the literary process is the active inclusion of folk texts in the functional fi eld of authorship art. Both famous writers and newcomer authors experiment in their creative work creating a huge amount of transitional forms (between elite and mass culture, traditional and mass culture etc.). Works by L. S. Petrushevskaya are especially signifi cant in this context. Her authorship “Fairy-tales” are chosen by young newcomers as a specifi c template for creating their own models of literary fairy-tales. In this paper an attempt to fi nd points of contact between the works of famous writers (L. S. Petrushevskaya) and beginner authors (Alisa Ganieva, Evgeniy Babushkin, Dmitriy Ahmetshin) on the uniting basis of the oral fairy-tale and to distinguish new features of the youth literature of the 21st century is made. Th e article also deals with the works by Mila Nox, the winner of “New Children’s Book 2016” contest set up by Rosman publishing house. Th is author became popular with her “Macabre” novel series (“Twilight Game” (2017), “Midnight Journey” (2017). Her works are based on a folk fairy-tale as well, mainly on its structure. Th e writer openly displays the use of folk and mythological patterns (especially Romanian and Moldavian ones) in her texts. Such an approach allows the young writer not only to create absorbing and original fantasy pieces, but also to give them a certain national fl avor. Th e analysis fi nds that the modern literary process is indeed characterized by the use of folk and mythological traditions, which is clearly manifested not only in the entirely new fantasy genre, but also in the traditional Russian genre of literary fairy tale.
