Modern worship tendencies in Sacred Places (based on material from North-West of Russia)

In the late XX — early XXI centuries there had been changes in the customary relationship between the man and his place of worship due to the transformation of the general idea of the promise, the form of prayer, the way to the holy place, the characteristics of the water, etc. The functional awareness of a local sacred place, namely, orientation to fill the needs of the people, had a lot to do with it. The process of enchurching of such places over is just as important.
