The Russian-Yukagir fairy tale and the song “Kuksha”

In the article the peculiarities of Russian fairy tales the Kolyma and Indigirka rivers are considered as examplified by the fairy tale “Once upon a time Yukagirs…” and the song “Kuksha”recorded at the end of the 19th century. Yukagir fairy tale was included into Russian old timers repertoire; it has acquired methods and means characteristic of Russian fairy tale, and fairy tale songs are still alive.
